SABS Local Content Verification provides assurance about the level of local production and content in the goods, works and services supplied, or to be supplied, to public sector institutions. Paragraph 9 of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act makes provision for the procurement of specific products designated to meet certain local production and content requirements. To further promote and certify Local Production and Content, SABS provides a database that quantifies the level of compliance in the respective designated sectors.
